Keyboard shortcuts
vivePDF keyboard shortcuts, the per-screen list that F1 opens, saving it as a PDF, the macOS key equivalents and the full list for every screen.
Most things you do often in vivePDF have a keyboard shortcut: opening a document, searching, zooming, presenting or formatting in Studio. This page groups the shortcuts by screen, and the same list is always one key away inside the app.
The shortcut list in the app
On any screen, press F1 or Ctrl+/ to open the Shortcuts window, which shows only the shortcuts that work on that screen. In the Viewer, for example, you see the viewing, editing and presentation shortcuts; in the Page organizer, the page shortcuts; and in Studio, those of the document or design editor. The general shortcuts that work everywhere are added to each list. Press F1 during a presentation and the list shows only the presentation shortcuts, so you can find a key without leaving the slides.
You can reach the same window in other ways too:
- Help › Keyboard shortcuts (F1) in the top bar.
- Keyboard shortcuts for this screen in the command palette, which opens with Ctrl+K.
The Search shortcuts box at the top narrows the list. The buttons at the bottom do the following:
- Save as PDF turns the list on screen into a PDF you can print and keep beside the keyboard.
- All shortcuts opens the complete list with every group, whichever screen you are on.
- Help topics goes to the help topic for the current screen. Shift+F1 does the same.

Keys on macOS
On a Mac, vivePDF shows its shortcuts with Mac keys:
- ⌘ (Command) takes the place of Ctrl, ⌥ (Option) of Alt, and ⇧ of Shift.
- Full screen is ⌃⌘F instead of F11.
- On Mac keyboards, function keys such as F1 and F5 may also need fn, depending on your keyboard settings.
